Nzere Kongo

ATROPOS 2016

In the 1960s, Dr. César Boronat decides to join a United Nations operation in the Congo. While serving as an anesthesiologist in Coquilhatville, the violence sweeping the country during the Belgian army’s withdrawal conceals a series of mysterious murders committed to cover up an even greater crime.

Decades later, Marcel Quintana, an agent of the Belgian DGRS, is sent to the Congo to spy on the Spanish embassy regarding matters related to hydroelectric companies and the construction of the massive Inga Dam on the Congo River.

His cover—as the grandson of a former Spanish doctor in the Belgian Congo—leads him to uncover the final loose ends of a conspiracy engineered to silence the origin of one of the great evils of the twentieth century.
