Manuel Grau is a semi-frustrated journalist and writer who one day meets Lidia, a disturbing woman who will enter his life in a way he never thought possible. Consumed by his own problems, Grau tries to connect with her—until life and the story take a turn with the appearance of a corpse.
Barcelona and Palma, seen through the lens of noir fiction, serve as the backdrop for a thriller that mixes police officers, petty criminals and high-society delinquents, and heavy doses of nostalgia.
Like Tears in the Rain takes its title from Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner. Roy, the replicant, on the verge of death, succumbs to nostalgia and memories: “All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.”
