In January 2002, he founded the magazine El Kraken, which ran until February 2009, spanning 27 issues.

In 2007, he published Crímenes Triviales, a short story collection that was very well received by critics.

With Los asesinos lentos (Siruela, 2010), his debut novel, he won the 2009 Café Gijón Novel Prize.

In 2011, he published La Noche Hambrienta (Siruela, 2011), which placed him among the elite Spanish storytellers of his generation.
