Growing up under the banner of love, alongside two people who defied their destiny (my parents Paco Rabal and Asunción Balaguer), teaches you to see the world differently. You come to understand that life is not a long-distance race to achieve goals that will one day lead to happiness, but rather about making sure that happiness is present in every moment.

A human being’s worth does not lie in the success they may have achieved or in how much they are able to accumulate, but in kindness and respect for their own dignity. Never losing innocence, knowing that each day—no matter how many years go by—there is still something to learn; devouring life and savoring it; believing in a fairer world and fighting to make it happen; and recognizing that everything is permissible except living off the suffering of others.
