Ashley Freeman, an Art History student at Boston University, has a one-night stand with a stranger named Michael O’Connell—an encounter that marks the beginning of a nightmare.

The affair proves disastrous, as O’Connell quickly reveals himself to be a psychopath obsessed with controlling Ashley’s life.
