Fátima Martín

Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 1968

Writer and journalist, with several published collections of short stories, she won the Torrente Ballester Novel Prize ex aequo in 2017. She holds a degree in Information Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid and studied Fine Arts at the University of La Laguna. She published the short story Porcelana in the collective book La Laguna Esbrújula (Neys Books, 2013 – Idea, 2017) and the micro-story El aroma de las estrellas in Señales mínimas (Idea, 2012)—third prize in the II Ámbito Cultural-El Corte Inglés Micro-story Contest. She also won first prize in the VI Orola Vivencias Award 2012 and has been a finalist in various literary competitions.
