Sitting in the darkness of the confessional, Father Martín hears his death sentence spoken by a stranger. Skeptical that a killer would openly announce his intent to murder him, the discovery of a mutilated woman’s body in the same neighborhood as the parish of San José convinces the priest that the threat is no joke, but rather a warning of what awaits him.

Bound by the secrecy of confession, which prevents him from seeking help from the police, Father Martín embarks on a desperate race to uncover a clue that might reveal the identity of the killer pursuing him — and the motive driving his desire to kill.

Along his harrowing path, he crosses paths with Jesús Arteaga, the tough police inspector leading the homicide investigation. As the inquiry advances without shedding light on the case, the killer strikes again, turning Father Martín not only into the next target, but also into a suspect in the eyes of the police.
