You can always rely on family… even to commit a crime.
The Elordis are a wealthy, traditional family, businesspeople from Vizcaya with a long lineage. One morning, Alba, the middle son’s girlfriend, arrives at the farmhouse in shock, claiming that she has found Julen with his throat slit. However, when the Ertzaintza (Basque police) arrives at the scene, they discover that the dead man is a stranger.
From that moment on, secrets come to light and quarrels break out among the rest of the siblings while Alba tries to remember what happened the night before and Julen remains missing. Everyone is aware that a murderer is lurking, hidden in the fog that envelops the farmhouse, but no one is willing to admit that the criminal could be one of them.
A fascinating mystery that is also a sharp portrait of family relationships. Power, money, intrigue, and jealousy are written with a steady hand by Txemi Parra, one of the sure values of Basque noir.
