1986. Lucrecia is on her way to fulfill her dream: leaving behind her small native village in Galicia, where everyone considers her a hopeless spinster. She has married her cousin by proxy, a man she barely knows.

At the Madrid train station, she is met by Enrique, her husband’s foreman, tasked with escorting her to her new home. However, along the way, a terrible tornado tears through the city, destroying everything in its path. Enrique and Lucrecia must embark on an odyssey to try to survive the catastrophe. As they cross Madrid from south to north and share the secrets of a past that haunts them, they will feel a love being born—one as overwhelming as the tornado that pursues them.
