Cecilia Samartin

Havana (Cuba), 1961

Cecilia Samartin was born in Havana during Fidel Castro’s revolution. She grew up in Los Angeles, being educated in both languages and cultures.

She studied psychology at UCLA and specialized in family and marital therapy at Santa Clara University.

Deeply committed to the challenges and needs of Hispanic communities, Cecilia has worked with Latino communities in the most disadvantaged areas of San José and Los Angeles.

Her novels have been sold in Spain, the Netherlands, Norway, the UK, Germany, and Portugal.
