Clara Mendívil

Clara Mendívil is from Pamplona and studied history, although she does not work in the field. She published her first novel, De viento y sal, in 2019, about Anne Bonny, a famous pirate who operated in the Caribbean Sea in the 18th century. During her research, she discovered many other female pirates from different times and places, most of them largely unknown, and decided to give them a voice and tell their adventures. Loto Rojo is the story of one of them. She maintains a blog, www.clarasmendivil.com
, where she writes, among other topics, about literature, historical novels, and the world of pirates.
