Benito Rabal

Benito Rabal Balaguer (Madrid, 1954) is a film director, screenwriter and writer. Son of Paco Rabal (actor, screenwriter and director) and actress Asunción Balaguer. He is the father of actor and film director Liberto Rabal. He began as an assistant director in 1970, and later was second unit director with directors such as Mario Camus, José Luis Garci, Pedro Olea, Imanol Uribe and William Friedkin. He has written screenplays, short stories and poetry, and two plays, of which he has also been director.
